SELF Weekend...
It's hard to believe I haven't had the opportunity to go to SELF before now. I know it was smaller than it used to be, but I was nonethless pleased to see those who put the effort in to assure the SE has a quality event. The presenters were amazing people and the whole event was a positive experience.

When Commando Bunny ran for her bootblack title, she was the best prepared contestant and the most amazing. To watch her present her speech was a privilege. This young woman who was such a shy thing a year ago, brought a room of hundreds to their feet! I know the affirmation comes from the whole community!

It was a true privilege to have Sir nominated for the Jack Stice community service award. After 24 years of consistent commitment and all the mentoring and service He has performed, He never saw it coming and is still blown away today. Thanks to everyone who made this happen.

In a conversation with a well-known member of the community, Sir was saying He didn't know that the people He had spent so much time with at the Sanctuary were so famous, the person replied, well, we didn't know either! Chuckles! It is great to see the humility and respect that so many still hold for the Sanctuary and it's place in the SE leather history. I am always honored to get to spend time with these individuals.

Next year, Catherine has assured, will bring new, lower prices which will make the event more accessible. I believe they have realized how limiting the pricing structure has been. If you can, come on out to SELF. I am sure we will be there again.
